Education
I received a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Kansas State University, the top third accredited program at the time of acceptance. The interior design courses were originally located in the College of Architecture, with the first year of education equivalent to the architecture program. The university then decided to relocate the interior design program to the college of human ecology due to the specialized focus on humans within the built environment. This education now serves as the fundamental root to every project, weaving an architectural approach with a human centric mindset.

Experience
Soon after graduation, experience was gained working for a full service commercial interior design firm specializing in retrofitting and redesigning office environments. I then moved to a reputable contemporary architecture and interior design firm, delivering key contributions lending to several awards and recognition, both commercially and residentially. This experience has led to a practice offering architectural and interior design services for a diversity of projects from full renovations to new builds.

Approach
Adhering to a specific design style is the not approach, rather every project and client is completely unique and respectfully treated as so. Many factors influence the overall design; the location, culture, budget, timeline, project type, client personality, occupants, and program requirements, to create custom tailored projects standing the test of time, rather than trend. The focus is listening to nature as the guiding force, with an emphasis on sustainability and natural materials to foster health, safety and wellbeing for humans and our beloved animal companions, creating a nurturing and supportive environment for all.
